A quick jump to Smiths Falls gives you affordable living in a friendly town that has started to rebound with new development in the works. A new housing development offers many affordable bungalows close to shopping and other amenities. The Rideau Canal flows through the town which offers swimming and boating opportunities.
The waterfront offered in this part of Eastern Ontario is boundless with the Rideau Canal, a World Heritage UNESCO Site, connecting Ottawa to Smiths Falls through to Portland, Westport, and Kingston. 100 lakes equal amazing waterfront opportunities from the many smaller lakes in Lanark Highlands to the Lower, Big and Upper Rideau, and all the lakes surrounding this system.
